Children of Empire (yes that's their name) will be releasing their MV teaser on Jan 5th so get to know more about the members before their long awaited debut. Some people expressed interest in learning more about them so I compiled together information and pictures from various sources into a helpful guide below.

But first, I'd like to clear up the FALSE claim made by allkpop that they changed their name to ZE:A. According to their international forum (Royal 9), ZE:A comes from JeA (제의) which is an abbreviation for Jegugui Aideul (제국의 아이들) or "Children of Empire". So ZE:A is only a shorthand. Their name is still "Children of Empire" like it says on the album cover. Also, their label obviously realized "Child Of Empire" was grammatically incorrect which is why they're now using "Children".

Lee SeungGi will "propose" to Park ShinHye

  • Dec. 28th, 2009 at 5:20 PM

Lee Seung Gi and Park Shin Hye will recreate the scene of a wedding ceremony for the 2009 SBS Gayo Daejun on the 29th. Performing to Will You Marry Me?, Lee Seung Gi will play the role of a groom while Park Shin Hye, the bride.

Unbelievable! Not only will Park Shin Hye be the MC of the night alongside hottie Jung Yong Hwa, she is going to be proposed to by the nation's heartthrob?! Forget the fancy schmancy awards; in my perspective, this girl is already the biggest winner of all!

The two willingly agreed to work together and are currently practicing the choreography. They expressed their enthusiasm for the coming performance and fans are highly anticipating the collaboration as well.

In addition, Brown Eyed Girls are planning a special stage of their own with a mystery male idol group, whose identity viewers are curious to uncover. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Dirty Brown Eyed Girls reunion.

A representative of Gayo Daejun stated, "There are mysterious and shocking performances in store for this year's Gayo Daejun. Brown Eyed Girls are secretly rehearsing with a top male idol group. Please anticipate it."

I wonder which ~mystery~ idol group.. Hope it's DEG.

Mir being an ozm brother and idol~

  • Dec. 28th, 2009 at 4:47 PM

MBLAQ's Mir isn't just a simple music boy that lives in absolute quality - he's a fan-loving one as well.

Mir's very own superstar sister, actress Go Eun Ah, posted a picture of her brother in a teddy bear kigurumi pajamas (here comes the aww's) on her CyWorld minihompy on December 27th. She even took her time to write a lengthy story behind the picture for the deprived fans to nibble on.

Get ready to say 'awww' everyone 8D )

Dang, you've gotta give Mir an A+ for knowing how to appreciate his fans' love. With MBLAQ's popularity skyrocketing the band way to the top, this boy will soon be drowned in these lovely gifts for sure!

Egg is back!

  • Dec. 28th, 2009 at 7:25 AM
A while ago we were introduced to Egg, an oddball trio that brought us bright colours and shiny suits.

Now they're back with another MV for their new song, One One Eight. It looks like they've matured... sort of, with a more autotuney sound and a sleeker image.

Despite the never-ending issues that SM Entertainment is cooped up with at the moment, they have decided to continue the activities of Super Junior by putting them on the stage for the SBS Gayo Daejun, which will take place on the 29th.

Of course, the trio - Hankyung, Kangin, and Kibum - will be excluded from this performance, due to various reasons ranging from lawsuits to DUI.

According to a related source, the members were first a bit shaky on their decision whether to appear on the stage or not, but have ended up deciding to keep the promise between the fans by performing. In contrary to the rest of the members, Hankyung himself is currently digesting his busy schedules smoothly, showing he is sturdy regardless.

However, Super Junior's attendance for year-end events for China have all been canceled. SM had offered to replace Super Junior-M with Zhang Liyin and Henry but it has been turned down by the local organizers.

...Well... at least they're there? D:

Zhoumi apologises on SOHU blog

  • Dec. 28th, 2009 at 4:24 PM

Hi everyone, I’m Zhoumi of Super Junior-M.

Not long ago, SJ-M was interviewed in Taiwan, and because of my misuse of words I caused a big misunderstanding and a bad influence, I have been very guilty because of this…

That was not what I meant to say.

So I would like to apologise to everyone here: Sorry!

I sincerely hope that everyone will forgive my mistake, and I’ve truly learnt through this incident, that an artiste’s actions and public image are infinitely important.

I will be more careful next time so that I do not make the same mistake again.

Zhoumi extends his deepest apologies to everyone here once more…

I'm glad he apologised, better then keeping mum and allowing everyone to bash on him. Though some people are still displeased that this came one week late.

BEAST unleashes their “Crazy” single!

  • Dec. 28th, 2009 at 2:15 AM
Rookie boy group BEAST has definitely been ripping up the k-pop scene with their hit single Bad Girl. And now, before the year comes to an end, the boys present us with one last holiday gift with the release of their single Crazy.

The single is for the OST of the new Korean movie Attack The Gas Station 2, a sequel to the hit 1999 comedy film with the same respective title. Bad Girl was definitely a fun party song but it seems like this new track puts up a pretty good fight as to which is more addicting.

Take a listen for yourself and decide whether you like bad girls or if you just want to go crazy.

LMFAO this is great. i am 100% sure that junhyung means "break a bitch" even though the bestiz lyrics are saying "break a beach"

ETA: judging from the preview the movie is pretty much packed with action which is why this probably sounds like some crazy (LOL PUN NOT INTENDED) fighting theme song

After School’s Raina faints during practice

  • Dec. 27th, 2009 at 11:02 PM

After School's newest member Raina has fainted during practice after overworking herself.

Raina had just finished a performance on the 27th with her members and was taken to their practice room. That's where she fainted and was taken to the emergency room.

Pledis Entertainment expressed, "Raina fainted during practice and didn't respond to us so she was taken to the hospital. She's been overworking herself because of the year-end shows and promotions for 'Because of You.' "

She has been doing better ever since she was admitted to the hospital. The doctors said, "Her fatigue had accumulated but her health isn't in too serious of a condition."

Hopefully she'll recover in time for the year-end shows she's been practicing so hard for.

But with Baek Ji Young already fainting earlier and now Raina, has it already started?

MBC Gayo Daejun's full line up revealed

  • Dec. 28th, 2009 at 11:22 AM
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This year's MBC Gayo Daejun will take place at the MBC Dream Center on the 31st. The MC's are Kim Gura, Lee Bo Young, and Shin Jung Hwan but what you should be excited about is the line up.

It's definitely going to be hard to beat SBS Gayo Daejun's line up but with the 2PM and SNSD joint stage, it might be possible.

2PM also is planning on having a dance battle with Park Jin Young which will be interesting since both of them are known to be excelling in dancing.

Jewelry will put on a memorable and touching performance with Park Jung Ah and Seo In Young. Other than Jewelry, other girl groups will perform to show their unique looks and this year's hit songs.

Baek Ji Young will perform My Ear's Candy with Lee Seung Gi instead of Taecyeon. Awkward Lee Seung Gi grinding with Baek Ji Young, interesting.

Here is the full list of artistes that are set to perform:
2PM, JYP, Baek Ji Young, Lee Seung Gi, SNSD, Super Junior, KARA, SHINee, After School, Brown Eyed Girls, Kim Tae Woo, MC Mong, Son Dambi and more.

Stay tuned to allkpop for full coverage.

TVXQ will attend Japan's TBS CDTV Premiere Live for the third year.

Through a message on their official Japanese website, TVXQ has confirmed that it will attend the year-end program on the 31st from 11:45PM to 5AM. They spent their last moments of 2007 and 2008 here as well, so it's essentially a tradition for the group.

Despite the issues that TVXQ has with SM Entertainment, their Japanese company Avex has a full schedule for them. The quintet will be attending the Japan Record Awards on the 30th and will also be attending NHK's program on the 31st, which is before the TBS program.

Taecyeon and Yoona are secretly dating?

  • Dec. 27th, 2009 at 8:37 PM

2PM's Taecyeon will perform with his "secret" girlfriend at the 2009 MBC Gayo Daejun. And guess who, that secret girlfriend is none other than Yoona of SNSD.

Fan girls, don't go crazy just yet. It's just a performance, or at least that's what we think.

The two will put on a special performance with a deep storyline. Let me lay it down for you. Taecyeon and Yoona have been dating secretly, they get in a fight over a small misunderstanding and Yoona starts to dodge Taecyeon's calls. SNSD tries to cheer Yoona up so they escape their dorm to have some fun, but during their night out, they run into 2PM. And of course, they make up after the members help them out and they all live happily ever after.

The two groups have been practicing hard, with sleepless nights for this performance and even though I'm really excited to see this performance, I'm kind of jealous. I mean think about all the time SNSD is getting to spend with these boys!

Because of last year's amazing performance with the Wonder Girls and Big Bang, people are really looking forward to this one. Hopefully, it will surpass Wonderbang.

Also on MBC Gayo Daejun, Park Jin Young and 2PM will have a dance battle. Do you guys remember Rain and JYP's battle last year? I'm sure this one will be even hotter than that one.

I can't choose which one I'm more excited for, SBS, KBS or MBC's Gayo Daejun? How about you?

Super Junior Hankyung
Part 01:

- Each member randomly picks a piece of paper with "tasks" written on it that they must do for Patty (Siwon has to find a way to make her laugh, Henry has to dance with her, Ryeowook has to tell Patty he loves her, Kyuhyun has to give her a massage, Zhoumi has to find a way to get Patty to say he's "shuai" ("handsome" or "cool"), Hangeng will play a prank on her).
- Hangeng and Zhoumi joke around because Zhoumi thinks his task will be pretty easy.
- Siwon tells them not to worry.
- Hangeng wonders how they'll pull off the prank -- "who should we get to fight each other?" (then they speak in Korean...so yeah. Anyone know what the Chinese subs are?)
- Patty introduces the group. She's afraid of saying each of their names because she thinks the screaming that will follow will damage her hearing.
- RW says "I love you" to Patty during his intro.
- Patty asks what kind of girls Donghae likes and he says they have to have a pretty forehead. Patty's like "Hm, is mine too much of a fivehead?" lol. Then he adds "big eyes, long hair, curly is okay". Henry says Donghae means Patty fits that type.
- Patty says Hangeng had the hardest time because he was the first Chinese member to go to Korea to train. She asks him to help translate because his Korean is the best. Hangeng says it was hard doing promotions in China at first due to the language barrier (he and Zhoumi were translating a lot and it was difficult), but now the rest of the members can understand and speak Chinese better so it's not a big deal. They can follow along and know what the general discussion is about. Donghae agrees and says he can slowly listen and guess what's being said. Patty mentions that the first time they met, only Hangeng and Siwon could communicate in Chinese. She compliments Siwon, but he goes "Oh no, no, no..." Patty then suggests that the fastest way to improve their Chinese is to find a Chinese girlfriend, and Siwon says, "Well, what do you think of us??" Patty's like "OHKAY, moving on" lol
- The next activity involves them writing down random questions they want to ask each other on dry-erase boards. Patty asks them to raise their hands if they have a girlfriend, but no one does. Henry says he's looking for one though haha.

Hands operation to change the future

  • Dec. 27th, 2009 at 7:53 PM
A plastic surgeon in South Korea is becoming famous because he is able to change the "future" of their customers. How? Operating the so-called "lines of the hand" ...

Kim Sung-min, a physician and plastic surgeon, operated primarily the nose and eyes, but perhaps due to global economic crisis, the specialist began to be asked to perform hands surgery.

In an interview with a Japanese television, the doctor says that patients have been looking for and request that surgery as a way of attracting more "lucky", especially in matters relating to employment. "They believe that the operation is able to change the destination," said Kim Sing-min.

For now, the doctor makes sure work is guaranteed for the first months of 2010 and is already sought after by patients from China and Japan
